Arno PATSCHEIDER was a radio announcer and presenter at the ORF regional studio in Carinthia. He hosted programs such as "österreich-Rallye" and "Tanzmusik auf Bestellung" and directed radio plays on "Ö1" as well as other productions. In addition, he worked as an author and published the book "Dokument für Freunde", released in 1995 by Styria Verlag (ISBN-10: 3222123659, ISBN-13: 978-3-222-12365-8).

The President of the Catholic Action of Carinthia, Arno Patscheider (63), passed away on December 1 in Klagenfurt due to a serious illness. As a radio announcer and head of the literature and science department at ORF regional studio Carinthia, the native Tyrolean was extremely well-known and popular in Carinthia. Early on, Patscheider was also active in the Carinthian Church, such as during the Carinthian Synod 1971/72, the Hemma jubilees, and the papal visit in Gurk 1988, in contributions for the "Carinthian Church Newspaper", and finally as President of the Catholic Action of Carinthia (since November 1987) and with the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. The funeral, led by Diocesan Bishop Dr. Egon Kapellari, will take place on Thursday, December 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Klagenfurt-St. Martin Cemetery, followed by the bishop celebrating the Requiem at the City Parish Church St. Egid in Klagenfurt.
