Gabrijel lost his parents quite early and he was the oldest of six siblings. The family was very poor, and another family eventually took over responsibility for the children. Many of them became "Schwabenkinder" (Swabian children), who went down from the Alps to Lake Constance in the summer to work there.

Gabrijel probably left home and travelled around for work. He worked in railway construction, which is why he never stayed very long in one place. Therefore, almost all of his children were born in different places. His wife Barbara Bosser died on 9.4.1926 in St. Valentin.

The information on page Z28 by Dr. Richard Patscheider stating that these were Arno's great-grandparents is incorrect. They are definitely the grandparents of Arno. Barbara Bosser's origin is also given by him as "aus Bayern" (from Bavaria), but it could also refer to the place Baiern in the Upper Bavarian district of Ebersberg.

Thanks to the personal communications from Fr. Mag.^a Susanne Grübler, the state of the data is very good. All doubts regarding his ancestors could be resolved through the transmitted family tree. He presumably typed this family tree himself as well, and since it may be assumed that he personally knew his parents and grandparents, this sequence is considered certain.

Thanks to the many personal communications by email from Erik Skaarup with the many links to the church registers and the precise classifications, these two persons are, despite the minimal differences, with certainty identical to the supposed "great-grandparents" in "Vom Oberrhein zum Etschquellraum".
